CIArb is a not-for-profit UK registered charity and an international centre of excellence for the practice and profession of alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
Its growing membership of 17,000 is based across 149 countries and supported by an international network of 41 branches.
CIArb provides education and training for arbitrators, mediators and adjudicators. It also acts as a global hub for practitioners, policy makers, academics and those in business, supporting the global promotion, facilitation and development of all ADR methods.
CIArb offers a range of resources including guidance, support, advice, networking and promotional opportunities, as well as facilities for hearings, meetings and other events.
Membership to CIArb consists of several grades including: Student, Associate, Member, Fellow, and Chartered Arbitrator; and in order to maintain high levels of excellence persons must meet CIArb strict criteria prior to becoming admitted.
The Caribbean Branch is responsible for CIArb members in the Caribbean region and operates to further the goals of CIArb in general.
We liaise with regional persons and authorities for the promotion of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution schemes generally and we facilitate training of interested persons in various courses
Typically persons wishing to join CIArb sit examinations for the relevant grade of membership and from time to time we coordinate and faciliate such training. Events will be shown on our events timeline or you may contact us at info@ciarbcaribbean.org for further information.
CIArb Caribbean Branch has a membership of about 250 members in 15 countries and consists of six chapters established in Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, St. Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago.

We welcome both our members and visitors from the general public as we develop our website as the Caribbean hub for arbitration related materials and information.
